Executive Function Coach
CurrentI provide Executive Function coaching for neurodivergent high school and college students in person or via Zoom. During the academic year 2024-25, I offer Study Skills Clinics at The Albany Academy in Albany, New York. During my 29 years of teaching, I have taught numerous students who are continually frustrated by academic difficulties related to their poor EF skills, and the percentage of students with underdeveloped EF skills has exponentially increased. Students who have underdeveloped EF skills often exhibit:Poor time management or time blindnessEmotional dysregulationChronic disorganization of both physical and digital itemsApprehension or avoidance of communicating with teachersDecreased motivation due to constant feeling of being overwhelmedAddiction to "unproductive" behaviors such as YouTubing, TikTok, or video gamingReduced problem-solving abilitiesI have attached an article, “Can an Executive Function Coach Help Your Teen Achieve Academic Success?” written by the pediatrician parent of one of my current EF students.
