The Clinical Director is responsible for the day-to-day staff supervision and coordination of urgent care services including the Rapid Response Team, the Co-Responder Team with area law enforcement, and EPIC’s Access Support Center. The Clinical Director ensures high quality therapeutic evaluation, assessment, counseling, care coordination and recovery support services are provided to adults in immediate need for mental health and/or substance use intervention.Oversees, maintains, and enhances a clinically sound program of rapid response services in collaboration with the Chief Clinical Officer. Works to ensure clinical staff practices meet the program’s clinical standards.Supervises all professional program staff and interns to include recruiting, training, hiring, supervising and discharging. Manages staff to ensure they receive the training and support required for optimal performance.Ensure each Team’s goals, outcomes, and financial results of the program are achieved. Provides therapeutic insight, immediate de-escalation and continued stabilization assistance as needed, while ensuring the adult’s dignity is maintained and her or his best interests are accommodated.Completes all paperwork associated with Baker Act or Marchman Act proceedings and interfaces with the St. Johns County law enforcement agencies, detoxication unit and Crisis Stabilization Units to ensure a smooth and dignified transition of the adult is accomplished.Acts as the liaison between the adult in crisis and personnel with St. Johns County law enforcement agencies. Works collaboratively with a variety of community resource providers, including local detoxification units, crisis stabilization units, law enforcement agencies, and local hospital systems.

The Director of Operations supervises all Psychiatric Services provided by the center. The Director ensures that participants receive holistic service planning, continuity of care, effective services, and ongoing advocacy. The Director provides oversight of all required Psychiatric documentation. Served as the Subject Matter Expert in the identification of parents with behavioral health conditions in the child welfare system, with a concentration on substance abuse and mental health disorders and focus on opioid use disorders. Further provided consultation to improve Child Protective Investigators (CPIs) and dependency case managers’ understanding of the effects of the behavioral health issue on parent/caregiver behavior.  Partnered with the investigative staff to provide consultations in order to assist in identifying danger threats, adult functioning, parental protective capacities (diminished or present), and safety management services. Assisted investigative staff and dependency case managers in understanding the signs and symptoms of substance abuse and mental health disorders and the best practices to engage and treat, opioid use disorders to include the use of medication assisted treatment (MAT)Provided extensive field consultantions well as provided office assessments and consultation during pre- or post-commencement when there is an open investigation with a suspected or identified behavioral health need, to include supporting investigators in mitigating behavioral issues and crises. Developed and implemented a collaborative process with community service providers and the Managing Entity to develop contacts, facilitate referrals, and assist investigative staff with engaging clients in recommended services and improving timely access to substance abuse and mental health. Developed and established a tracking process for all clients referred to all substance abuse and mental health treatment providers in the NER of Florida. Participated in legal and multi-disciplinary meetings that will assist the investigative staff and families. Provided a week long on-site EAP service to CPI during hurricane Mathews in Panama City Florida. Conducted behavioral health chart audits of Baker Act recieving facilities in the North East Region of Florida.

Supervised multi-disciplinary staff of ten or more clinicians and para professionals within the agency. Provided weekly clinical supervision, case management recommendation and linkage to resources.   Coordinated biopsychosocial service needs assessments of adults with severe mental illness for the Mental Health Skill Building Services Program(MHSB).  Conducted on an average, 8 service needs assessments a week for the Therapeutic Day Treatment and Intensive In Home Programs, with children and adolescents who due to severe emotional and cognitive deficits, are at risk of hospitalization or out of home placement due to difficulty establishing or maintaining interpersonal relationships with authority figures.  Ensured agency followed federal, state and local regulations, as well as departmental and county policies and procedures.
