Associate Professor:• Prepare course materials for three educational delivery formats—residential classroom, online, & modular;• Prepare and deliver lectures;• Evaluate and grade students’ class work, assignments, discussion postings, and papers;• Facilitate and moderate classroom and online asynchronous discussions;• Keep abreast of developments in the theological education by reading current literature, talking with colleagues and participating with professional conferences;• Compile, administer, and grade examinations, and assign work for graduate assistants;• Plan, evaluate, and revise curricula, course content, course materials, and methods of instruction;• Facilitate service learning and hands-on opportunities for ministry training;• Maintain regularly scheduled office hours;• Conduct research in the field of practical theology, pastoral theology, urban ministry, and publish research;• Participate and chair committees;• Supervise theses and dissertations;• Supervise graduate assistants and advise students.----Regent University, Youth & Urban Renewal Center:• Identify and recruit potential volunteer workers;• Train and supervise student workers;• Develop and direct internship opportunities;• Determine appropriate curricula for effective urban ministry education;• Implement program plans;• Implement programs and plan by scheduling meetings, handling administrative details and building relationships with local, regional, national and international pastors and church leaders;• Provide program analysis;• Conceive and develop strategic plan;• Collaborate with local churches, ministries and civic organizations to establish goals and objectives for religious education programs and to develop ways to encourage program participation;• Confer with clergy members to strategize for effective community outreach efforts;• Lead fundraising efforts;• Schedule special events such as meetings, trainings, retreats and seminars and workshops.
