I am a conservation biologist, ecologist and sustainability scientist by training. I was previously an Andrè Hoffmann Fellow at the Centre for Nature-based Climate Solutions, National University of Singapore and the World Economic Forum, Geneva, where I worked on nature financing and metrics and measurements in Biodiversity Crediting. I completed my PhD in Environmental Sciences in the Coupled Human Natural Systems Lab, based at the Asian School of the Environment and Earth Observatory of Singapore (Nanyang Technological University, Singapore) in 2022. After the PhD I worked briefly as a Student Assistant from July to November 2022 at the Coupled Human-Natural Systems Lab. I completed my Masters in Wildlife Biology & Conservation (conducted jointly by WCS- India and NCBS- Bangalore) in 2016. My interests include nature based climate solutions, nature financing, understanding anthropogenic effects on tropical biodiversity, reconciling agriculture with conservation, and devising conservation solutions steeped in policy and sustainability while taking into account stakeholders’ livelihoods.
