Managed a 100% caseload for Entry-level Physical Therapist working with a community-dwelling, geriatric population dealing with orthopedic and neurological medical concerns. Created a unique marketing plan for a private physical therapy practice including ROI, payer mix, payer demographics, and niche population.

8-week full-time clinical rotation in a long-term acute care setting working with patients who were previously in the ICU due to neurological accidents and conditions. Managed a caseload of 70% of Entry-level Physical Therapist including patients dealing with stroke, cancer, TBI, axonic brain injury, and pulmonary failure. Special skills applied: mobilization of patients with tracheotomies and on ventilators, use of standing frame, altering communication skills based on agitation levels of patients, updating plan of care during interdisciplinary rounds, planning and leading family member trainings to ensure safety of patients for discharge home, and use of Glasgow coma scale.

8-week, full time clinical rotation working with acute work-related injuries. Completed full treatment sessions for 60% of Entry Level Physical Therapist caseload (including initial evaluations, follow-up visits, and discharge visits). Worked with patients with a variety of musculoskeletal injuries, such as, post-operative rotator cuff tear, meniscus injury, and acute low-back strain. Utilized motivational interviewing to draw out elements of the patient’s perspective/narrative and facilitate patient-directed positive change towards mutually agreed upon goals. Implemented neuroscience pain education to prevent incidence of persistent pain and fear-avoidant behavior.

Worked one on one with clients in a longitudinal aging study under the direct supervision of a Clinical Exercise Physiologist. Ensured client safety during physical performance measurements.
