As a psychologist I aim to help individuals and couples through the process of psychotherapy. By altering well-meaning yet dysfunctional patterns strategically, working via a cognitive-behavioral, brief, and psychodynamic framework, I assist those with whom I work in living better lives, experiencing more happiness, and achieving greater personal/professional outcomes. After attaining my doctorate in psychology at 25, I have garnered over twenty years of clinical experience and expertise from a variety of the best clinical training settings. My education led me from Long Island, New York to Scranton, Pennsylvania to Dayton, Ohio and finally to Los Angeles, California. Thanks to my country-wide experience, I excel at diversity training, individual and group psychotherapy, and clinical supervision. My intelligence enabled me to attend one of the finest doctoral programs in the country as well as enabled me to attain one of the top three pre-doctoral internship settings in the country at the University of Southern California (USC). Over the years I have practiced in university counseling centers, community mental health settings, not-for-profit agencies, inpatient and outpatient substance abuse rehabilitation facilities, as well as my own private practices. My presentations on diversity issues, identity formation and substance abuse treatment have been well-received. My experience in multiple treatment settings has given me an edge which I believe allows me to better help and treat my clients. I have many areas within which I am professionally competent, so please visit my website for details. I am dynamic and personable, and believe that psychotherapy can help people change.
