Ashley Williams was CSCCE's Director of California Policy and Educator Engagement Programs. In her role, she tracked, analyzed, and translated state ECE policy development with a particular focus on issues related to the early education workforce, connects with national policy, and developed educator engagement strategies.

EDvance is an early childhood workforce teacher preparation program that recruits, supports and graduates the future leaders necessary for high-quality early education programs. EDvance has developed a highly sequenced and scaffolded curriculum that facilitates a fast track to graduation by providing community-based tutoring, individualized case management, academic counseling and educational planning, guaranteed enrollment into pathway courses, applied coursework that ties theory to practice, classes offered at times convenient for early childhood educators, and fiscal incentives and stipends for program participants.
