Dr. Asli Ozbek Figueroa Orta, ND (Canada), MD (Turkey), Ophthalmologist (Turkey), is a licensed and registered Naturopathic Doctor in Toronto, Ontario.Before moving to Canada to study naturopathic medicine, Dr. Asli worked as a specialist physician (ophthalmologist) in Turkey for more than 15 years. Her interest in naturopathic and traditional medicine started as a medical student after realizing that conventional medicine has several limitations and cannot solve all health problems, Dr. Asli dedicated herself to learning traditional and natural medicine healing methods to fill in the gaps in her allopathic medicine education and practice. She became a Reiki master, had training in hypnosis techniques, and completed acupuncture certification training organized by the Turkish Ministry of Health. She completed training courses in Ayurveda, yoga therapy, and mindfulness meditation in India. For further education in natural treatment methods, she moved to Canada and studied naturopathic medicine at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM), Toronto. During her internship at the college, Dr. Asli further completed an integrative oncology focus shift in the CCNM. Since 2020, she is working as a licensed and registered Naturopathic Doctor in Toronto, Ontario.Besides her clinical practice, Dr. Asli is active as a speaker and educator in functional and integrative medicine training courses designed for Turkish medical doctors.Dr. Asli combines her conventional, traditional, and naturopathic medicine knowledge and experience in her practice. She targets to provide a functional, integrative, and naturopathic approach to health and wellbeing. Dr. Asli has a general practice and accepts clients from all age groups with various health conditions. She has particular interests in metabolic health, Type 2 diabetes, adult-type ADHD, integrative genomics, anti-aging, and longevity.
