I’m a sociologist, criminologist, psychologist and evaluator currently working within the department of Sociology at the Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU) as a lecturer in quantitative criminology.I also work on several evaluations with the Policy Evaluation and Research Unit (PERU) including areas such as violence reduction, criminology, education, homelessness, social investment and victimisation. I am currently gaining experience of bid writing and have successfully had a proposal accepted.I have previous experience as a project manager on a large scale evaluation.I am currently Deputy Programme Lead (DPL) and have been acting programme lead in the past. I am a senior fellow of the higher education academy.Recently I have been collaborating with colleagues from PERU, Manchester Fashion Institute (MFI) and colleagues across the faculty of Arts and Humanities on projects such as the "Sponsored Masters Programme” which replaces the standard dissertation on Masters programmes with a project they are paid £2000 to complete for an industry partner.
