About Benjamin Miller

I believe our health and well-being is deeply connected to our community. As a professional who has worked in and out of health care settings, I see the power of health care - I also see its limitations. My professional journey has brought me to a place where I am looking for radical solutions that are being led by those who have the most experience on what works and what doesn't work - our communities. It's impossible to address issues of depression, anxiety, and other mental health conditions without fundamentally rethinking how we approach community. We must think bigger, listen more, shift and share power, and then lean into new structures that meet us in this moment. As the past president of Well Being Trust, a national foundation committed to advancing the mental, social, and spiritual health of the nation, I helped lead strategy, design, and execution of our work ensuring that each investment aligns to impact on our mission and help us achieve our goal. As the founding director of the University of Colorado's Farley Health Policy Center, I was able to help create state and national strategies for how we can better prioritize mental health in policy. I have over 20 years experience in the mental health and health care field. From care delivery to policy, I am a systems thinker who works to integrate mental health more seamlessly into the places that people are.
