I run several workshops through the year on grant writing, thesis writing, writing skills and communication, and work one-on-one with many scientists and PhD students using a narrative-focussed approach.I also manage the SAHMRI Rostrum public speaking and presentations workshop program. This year-long program builds confidence and abilities for researchers of various skill levels. With 18 workshops through the year (I'm instructor for ~9 of those), the program combines skill development with practice and constructive feedback in a safe and supportive atmosphere. Participants have won prizes at conferences and competitions, while others have found the fun in presenting and are now confident in addressing audiences. Show less
