I have been in private practice since 1996 in Atlanta. My practice, Dunson Dental Design, can best be described as a comprehensive general practice that focuses on aesthetic dentistry and implant reconstruction. I received my Bachelor of Science and Biology with honors at Morehouse College. I received my Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University of Southern California, completed a general dentistry residency at Harlem Hospital followed by a three year implant residency at Loma Linda University. I am an Honored Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and a Diplomat of the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry. I served as a faculty member at the Georgia Health Sciences Maxicourse (Medical College of Georgia) for 10 years. I am currently serving on the faculty for the following Maxicourses: Las Vegas, Iran, India and Abu Dhabi. I am the Chairman and an examiner of the Admissions & Credentialing Board of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. I have published several well- received articles on dental implantology. I am also an article reviewer for the “Journal of Oral Implantology” and an associate editor of “International Journal of Clinical Implant Dentistry.” I am the founder and director of the Atlanta Academy for Reconstructive Dentistry where I teach other dentist from around the world “Comprehensive Implant Dentistry” (A hands-on practicum and live surgery training series focused on all areas of implant dentistry). I have trained with some of the world’s leading cosmetic dentists and implant pioneers. I am one of a handful of restorative dentists in Georgia certified in IV conscious sedation. Additionally, I am continuously seeking new opportunities to expand my knowledge base in order to bring the most effective and leading edge treatment to my patients.
