Thank you for your interest! As a retired police veteran, after 26 years serving in the patrol division, I found my niche working with pre-teens and teens applying mentoring and counseling skills to help guide youth toward their individual success. I currently serve as a County School Safety Coordinator responsible for >400 schools. By educating parents and adults about identifiers of poor lifestyle choices, I work to help identify students before a crisis is reached. By combining experience with education and empathy, I am able to help you help your community.I have been a keynote presenter at national conferences speaking about School Resource Officers as well as relevant research on the position. My passion and experience is readily visible, and I am able to command and engage a room. I motivate and excite while educating!I can be readily located on Philadelphia affiliate news channel NBC 10 speaking about current juvenile related concerns and school safety topics.My doctoral research, entitled “Pennsylvania School Resource Officers as Mentor/Counselors, Including Levels of Intervention”, highlights some of the positive work of SROs and offers insight as to how they respond to incidents of misbehaviors and the importance of diversion from the juvenile justice system. My most current research, "Measuring the Strategic Fit of the School Resource Officer with Law Enforcement(Leaders), the Education System, the Community and Other Interested Parties" is receiving national attention.
