Internationally known developmental-behavioral pediatrician with over 25 years of leadership experience at the forefront of advancements in child development, psychopharmacology, child/adolescent/young adult mental health, child abuse prevention and family support. Thought leader and consultant to numerous pharmaceutical companies. Experienced clinical researcher and author of scientific publications. Ten years of experience on Tufts Medical Center's Institutional Review Board (IRB), reviewing and monitoring all research with human study subjects to assure their protection and to support investigators in the maintenance of safe and ethical clinical research standards. Recipient of 5-year Clinical Investigator Development Award from NINDS (NIH), which funded both research on children with learning/attentional disorders and additional statistical and developmental neuropsychological training at the Ph.D. level. Invited reviewer for fifteen pediatric, psychiatric, child development and pharmacology journals, and Editorial Board member for the Journal of Attention Disorders. Founding Board member of the American Professional Society for ADHD and Related Disorders (APSARD), and has served in a variety of leadership positions in the organization. Certified examiner for Major-Minor League Baseball and the National Football League. Dr. Busch is a Trustee Emerita of Tufts University and is on the Board of Advisors for the Jonathan M. Tisch College of Citizenship & Public Service at Tufts University. She served for 25 years as a gubernatorial appointee to the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Children’s Trust, a private-public partnership dedicated to preventing child maltreatment. Her work in this area was recognized by the American Academy of Pediatrics and the National Alliance of Children’s Trust and Prevention Funds when she was honored with the 2015 Ray E.
