I’ll be advising on the development of a holistic framework for the capture of the symbolic, cultural, physical, social, and economic value of Heritage interventions across Europe. I will make special emphasis on the importance of developing credible measures to document symbolic and cultural value, while fully engaging with discussion around the strengths and weaknesses of better established economic, social and physical measures. The SoPHIA platform will start by mapping existing literature and evidence from relevant sectors, including the work I have lead on the multiple impacts of large-scale interventions such as the European Capital of Culture programme.
