About Billi Gordon Ph.D

Grew up dirt poor across from the city dump, was a high school jock, President of Student Body, Homecoming King, blah, blah, blah. I entered a Roman Catholic monastery; they said I had a calling but it wasn't religious, although arguably righteous. I had a successful career as a "female" model, actress, author, and TV & film writer. If you have ever seen a greeting card with a voluptuous black woman inviting you to do something lewd on your birthday, or seen "Coming To America", or Married With Children" Japanese Commercials or European Billboards,you've probably seen me. Then I traded my acrylic nails and hair weave in for a Ph.D. in neuroscience. Now, I use fMRI to investigate the pathophysiology of stress as an antecedent to disease. I also have a blog on Psychology Today called Obesely-Speaking. I have been married 26 years (which in Gay marriage years, is 583.9.) And yes, I am the guy, who dressed-up like Mammy from "Gone With The Wind" and wrote the cookbook, "You've Had Worse Things In Your Mouth" and "Your Moon Is In Aquarius But Your Head Is In Uranus." Most importantly, I am a proud University of Michigan alumnus, and where ever I go, whatever I do, I always GO BLUE! Specialties: I am proficient in three areas; writing and neuroscience are the other two.
