Dr. Binoy, S. Vettical [Dr.V.S.Binoy] is a scientist having a total of 33 years of experience in Embryo Transfer Technology and Administrative Management. His first 19 years of experience was in Kerala Livestock Development Board (Former Indo Swiss Project),a pioneer centre for frozen semen production in South East Asia in various management positions. He is one of the few scientists who have involved in the pioneer work of cattle embryo transfer in India since the early 1990s. He is trained in Embryo Transfer Technology during 1993 from SET Switzerland. Dr. Binoy has completed his Post Graduation in Animal Reproduction, Gynaecology and Obstetrics and secured the highest OGPA in the Kerala Agricultural University among the M.V.Sc students of 2007 admission. During his career in KLD Board, he could standardize the procedures of cattle embryo transfer in crossbred cattle and achieved success rate at par with international standards. The first direct frozen embryo transfer crossbred calf was produced by him on 23rd June 1996.He could impart training in cattle embryo transfer to 40 veterinarians and in the field of Animal Production Sciences to around 2000 veterinarians from various countries . He had an opportunity to function as one of the four members in the central monitoring committee constituted by Government of India for evaluation and accreditation of Embryo Transfer laboratories. He worked in KLD Board in the post of Deputy General Manager till March 2010.During 2010, he got an opportunity to work for the development of embryo transfer technology in camels under Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority, UAE. Under this project he could establish a laboratory for camel ET and could achieve a success rate of 6 embryos per super ovulation with 60% transfer success. In December 2012, he got an opportunity to work for a research project on cloning in camel. The project was established under the patronage and guidance of H.H.Sheikh Hamadan Bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Makhtoum, Crown Prince of Dubai.
