Dr. Brenda Cox, PhD has experience in all aspects of curriculum, instructional, and student services to include providing a continuum of services from intervention and special education to gifted education. Prior to her current position, she served as a campus administrator at the secondary and elementary level, a classroom teacher and a coach, a police office, and a para-legal.Dr. Cox has been honored as one of the five finalist as Principal of the Year by the HEB Excellence in Education Program, as Region X’s TASSP Principal of the Year, as Grand Prairie ISD’s Principal of the Year, as Kennedy Middle Schools’ Teacher of the Year, and as Dillard’s Teacher of the Week. She has served on the North Central Texas Middle School League executive board and the Region XII’s Middle Level Steering Committee. She has worked as an adjunct profession in the graduation school at Tarleton State University Central Texas and has published several articles in educational journals in addition to publishing a thesis and dissertation.
