I am a hybrid of an empathetic eye care provider and a data-driven business manager. When I’m in the exam room providing eye care, I focus on delivering high quality, patient-centric healthcare, because I believe every doctor visit can be as personalized and polished as an excellent restaurant experience. As a business manager I am people-centric. I focus on team leadership, human capital recruitment, and long-term talent development. When you fuse together patient-centric healthcare and investing in the practice personnel, the result is immense value creation for all 3 critical stakeholders: the patient, the care team, and the doctor.In my most recent role as VP Operations & Training of a 13-location medical practice, I developed skills necessary for large group practice management, constructed and implemented a modern revenue cycle billing system, and practiced organizational change management repeatedly during a substantial infrastructure overhaul. Through partaking in this practice's evolution, I learned that the most important resource an organization has is its people, and when given the right support and resources, they will do amazing things.In the rapidly-changing and regulated modern US healthcare environment, my skillset bridges the gap between the doctor/patient exam room experience and the modern business processes that make practices competitive in the marketplace. Whether a practice's business problem is a small annoyance, a constant challenge, or a massive organization-wide dilemma, I approach the problem head first and deliver tangible results.
