I have broad experience spanning three states as a school teacher and administrator serving K12 students in urban, suburban, and rural schools, which empowered my growth as a teacher and educational leader with a broad base of curriculum, instruction, leadership, and professional development skills that work with students and teachers across a broad base of settings. With specialized training in data-driven decision making, reading methods, accreditation, and student-centered mathematics instruction, I am prepared to lead in a variety of situations as evidenced by double-digit growth in student achievement at schools where I was blessed to serve as principal. In addition, my higher education work in teacher preparation and supporting students in their graduate study has provided ongoing opportunities for research and mentoring.
