Veterinarian with a PhD in microbiology and antimicrobial resistance, both contributing to improved fish wellfare through R&D as Research manager at SalMax and practicing small animal ER medicine at EMPET. As many veterinarians before me I started with a dream of making an impact for animal welfare, and have during my time in the field realized the great potential and importance of a One Health mindset. We share our resources, the environment, our surroundings, and also our pathogens. This means that good animal welfare leads to safe food and subsequent good welfare for humans. With my large work capacity I am easily engaged, and contagiously spread my engagement while working. I enjoy critical thinking outside the box, and have a passion for communicating research and educating the public, and therefore seek to widen my knowledge in all I do! Outside of work you are most likely to find me either wandering in the forest studying mushrooms, or on my knees in the garden tending my green fingers!
