Working on inclusive pedagogy at the Center for New Designs in Learning and Scholarship

The pedagogy lab director is responsible for the successful leadership and management of the lab, including overseeing the development of equity-driven open educational resources (OER); organizing pedagogy workshops for educators on how to use OER in the classroom; connecting with activists and grassroots organizations to plan and execute an advocacy event series around Black, Indigenous, Ethnic, and Area Studies; and overseeing the pedagogy research fellowship program. Additionally, the Pedagogy Lab Director will set the strategic vision for the lab, as well as carry out the necessary outreach and relationship building needed to establish long term collaborations with educators, policymakers, and activists in high schools, state universities, community colleges, and minority serving institutions. The Pedagogy Lab Director will work closely with the Center's Director, Executive Director, and Publications Director in executing the program.

Owned and operated by Dr. Aida Martinez-Freeman, Taina Coaching and Training provides services around equity and inclusion from facilitation, equity audits, strategic planning and visioning, and executive coaching. As a consultant and spaceholder, I partner on projects that fulfill these goals related to race, community climate, and equity in education, professional, community, and non-profit settings.
