- Present at Special Education Department Meetings and Collaborative Team Meetingsregarding differentiation of instruction, instructional strategies, and accommodations- Serve as an Instructional Coach for general education and special education teachers- Mentor novice special education teachers- Serve as a Principal Designee at IEP meetings- Lead the Professional Learning Community to plan instructional lessons- Analyze data with collaborative team to identify strengths and areas of need in order tobrainstorm a plan of action to increase student achievement- Collaborate with the Professional Learning Community to create school improvement plansand revise the schools mission and vision statement- Serve as a model classroom for implementing Kagan Cooperative Learning Strategies toincrease student achievement- Serve as a model classroom for incorporating instructional technology to increase studentachievement- Teach exceptional needs students (Learning Disabilities, Mental Impairments, Other HealthImpairments, Autism, and Emotional Behavior Disorders) Civics & Economics in a team-taught and self-contained setting- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students performing above grade level, atgrade level, and below grade levelCreate and design special needs curricula including social skills development programs and behavior intervention plans to improve student achievement- Manage 18 special needs students’ cases involving, but not limited to, writing quality IEPs, Transition Plans, Functional Behavior Assessments, and Behavior Intervention Plans- Assist Student Services Department with organizing Career Day- Serve as an On-time Graduation mentor and Outreach Committee member for at-risk students- Conduct action research in a team-taught and a self-contained setting
