Dr. Carolyn Dean is a health and medical practitioner who has specialist expertise in magnesium deficiency and magnesium supplementation. Dr. Dean is also the CEO and owner of a supplement manufacturing company. Dr. Dean is a qualified medical doctor, and she has also trained as an acupuncturist, herbalist, nutritionist and naturopath. Dr. Dean is also a medical author, having written and co-written more than 35 books, including the definitive book on magnesium deficiency, titled The Magnesium Miracle. Additionally, Dr. Dean is a specialist in Magnesium Deficiency Syndrome - a term that is used to describes more than 65 magnesium-related diseases - and Total Body Meltdown – a syndrome that Dr. Dean personally identified, that is caused by numerous vitamin and mineral deficiencies within the body. Having written about magnesium deficiency for more than 15 years, Dr. Carolyn Dean started to work with supplement manufacturers to improve the quality of the product. Dr. Dean advocates fully absorbed magnesium products, rather than magnesium oxide, which is used as standard in the medical industry despite being only 4% absorbed by the body. In trying to change the industry, Dr. Dean realised that she would have to create these products herself. As a result, she established a supplement manufacturing company and released ReMag – a magnesium supplement that is 100% absorbed at the cellular level.
