I am a Yale educated ophthalmologist with over 15 years of clinical experience. I treat patients of all ages in the hospital and in my office-based practice. I treat both adults and children for trauma to the eye and common eye problems like blurred vision, glaucoma, lazy eyes, and dry eye. I also perform surgery to repair tears of the eye, straighten eyes, lift eyelids and remove eye lesions. I also have had the opportunity to serve as a physician leader and educator throughout my career. I served as Chairwoman of the Department of Ophthalmology at the Hendrick Medical Center. I served as an assistant professor at the University of Texas at Houston and the University of South Carolina. I have had the opportunity to speak nationally and globally about eye education and eye health. My mission is to keep the eyes safe so they can continue to see clearly. I am also a skilled communicator that is able to explain difficult medical concepts to adults of all ages.
