I am an award-winning, licensed psychologist with over two decades in the mental health field and a global spokesperson on mental health. I am the founder and CEO of InnoPsych, Inc., a mental health tech company on a mission to disrupt racial inequities in mental health. I get hired to speak about mental and emotional wellbeing-related topics such as burnout, boundaries, mental health stigma in communities of color; school mental health, and racial stress. My mission in life to increase access to mental health resources for people in historically underserved groups. InnoPsych offers an online platform that connects people of color to therapists of color and provides emotional wellbeing programming that empowers leaders to cultivate emotionally safe work cultures that foster thriving organizations and people.I trained at two of the top Harvard Medical School training hospitals in the country (Boston Children's Hospital & Massachusetts General Hospital) and I use my 25+ years of mental health experience to bring relatable science and culturally-responsive content to my audiences. In addition, I had the good fortune to work at an amazing arts high school in Boston for 17 years, which helped me to hone my clinical and consultation working with artists and artistic productions. I have received a number of awards for my community based initiatives:🏆 2022 Power Forward Grant (sponsored by Vistaprint/Celtics/NAACP🏆 2022 Boston Business Journal's Power 50 Movement Makers Award🏆 2021 American Psychological Association's Citizen Psychologist Award🏆 2021 City of Boston Innovator of the Year Award🏆 2021 Charles River Chamber of Commerce 100 Influential Business People of Color🏆 2020 American Psychological Association’s PLC Diversity Award🏆 2019 Citizens Bank Community Champion AwardMedia contributions:Features: New York Times, NPR, Boston Globe, Black EnterpriseRegular Contributor: PBS Teachers LoungeTV: BNC TV; GBH Basic Black; NBC10 BostonFor more: www.innopsych.com/pressMy Favorite Quote: "My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style."
