Chesahna Kindred, MD, MBA, FAAD is a Board-Certified Dermatologist who treats patients of all ages, skin types, disorders, and conditions. She specializes in hair and scalp disorders, including traumatic hair loss, and conditions that disproportionally affect patients with skin of color. Dr. Kindred is the founder of the Kindred Hair & Skin Center servicing the Baltimore Metropolitan Area, where she provides cutting-edge treatments for disorders of the skin, traumatic hair loss, and cosmetic dermatology. In addition to her private practice, Dr. Kindred founded the Onyx Medical Society and is the Chair of the National Medical Association, Dermatology Division, where she leads initiatives that address the healthcare disparities within the clinical research performed, which is pivotal to adequately providing treatment in people of color. Dr. Kindred has contributed to multiple publications for organizations such as the American Dermatology Association. She created a digital series called DermaMyth, where she debunks popular myths herd throughout the dermatology industry from both patients and practitioners, which birthed her first self-published book titled DermaMyth, Breaking the Cycle of Skincare Myths.
