In the context of Energy Access, Energy Sustainability and Climate Change, I have coined the term Energy Swaraj I work in establishing Energy Swaraj or providing localised solar energy solutions across the globe by developing solar PV technologies and products, developing and conducting training on solar PV technologies and products, planning and executing large scale projects, particularly in the off-grid energy sector, monitoring the impact and conducting research. I am also interacting with policy makers and providing inputs in policy making. I have been recently conferred with the title of Brand Ambassador of Solar Energy for Govt. of Madhya Pradesh I am also author of several books and written over 100 research articles. We believe that it is the use of carbon based fuel that has created problem of climate change and it is the use of solar energy, that will solve the problem, if done in appropriate manner. Energy Swaraj is energy by local for local. Energy Swaraj needs to be adopted for every individual, institutions and every country. It will help to not only solve the problem of energy, but also create jobs, strengthen local economy, enhance energy security, save foreign exchange, empower women, but also it will help in mitigating climate change. Also, to create a public movement an 11 years long Energy Swaraj Yatra has been undertaken by me to reach out to masses and bring them awareness abut climate change and encourage them to take actions. I live in a specially designed solar bus. I have also pledged to not go home for 11 years and live in the bus to create Energy Swaraj as public movement.
