I am a public health professional with a Master of Public Health degree from Gulf Medical University and the University of Arizona. A Bachelor of Medicine, and Bachelor of Surgery degree from Khartoum College of Medical Sciences. I have recently completed a four-month stint as a Public Health Officer at Emirates Health Service U.A.E, where I was involved in various health promotion and disease prevention initiatives. I have also worked as an Infection Control Practitioner at Thumbay University Hospital and a Casualty Officer at Federal Teaching Hospital Gombe, gaining valuable clinical and epidemiological experience.My core competencies include community engagement, data analysis, and program evaluation. I have applied these skills in conducting hand hygiene audits, educating staff on infection control measures, participating in antibiotic stewardship and HAI surveillance teams, and notifying infectious diseases. I am passionate about improving public health outcomes and addressing health disparities through evidence-based and culturally appropriate interventions. I can bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team, as I have lived and worked in different countries and cultures, and speak multiple languages. I also won the American University of Beirut Global Health Change Makers Award, which recognizes innovative and impactful public health projects.
