I am a biotech scientist and entrepreneur with expertise and passion for developing and commercializing innovative absorbable collagen bioscaffold products for instant bleeding control, advanced wound healing and tissue regeneration.I have more than a decade of experience, deep understanding and market insights of various aspects of advanced wound care & hemostat sectors. I have expertise in developing collagen bioscaffold products, R&D, technology transfer, regulatory affairs (absorbable biological medical devices), manufacturing, designing and building world class cleanroom manufacturing facilities according to the US FDA & WHO cGMP guidelines, quality management system (ISO 13485), conducting clinical case studies, establishing distribution network, product promotion, product commercialization and advocacy for introducing advanced wound care products in the government’s healthcare schemes.I have founded two startups; one in the regenerative medicine field (took an exit) and the other in the sustainable agriculture domain (Adapt Research: Agriculture hydrogel product that protects crops during water scarcity, increases production with 50% less water). From my entrepreneurial experience, I have learnt various aspects of biotech entrepreneurship, including preparing and implementing company’s short- and long-term strategies, leading and building teams, product promotion, fund raising, business development.I have done Postdoc from Yale University, School of medicine, USA on gene regulation and cell signalling during hypoxia/ischemia-mediated inflammatory and oxidative injuries and Carbon Monoxide/Heme oxygenase-1-mediated protection during various lung diseases and PhD from University of Bath, UK on gene regulation of Heme oxygenase-1 during solar ultraviolet radiation mediated oxidative injuries in skin.
