Following my PhD I have mostly worked in the public sector, in a range of roles that have provided a broad experience of policy and practice for the marine and coastal environment. I have always worked closely with academia, industry and policy colleagues, increasingly seeing myself as cross-disciplinary. Between 2019 and 2022 this expanded to more fully include social science techniques for environmental outcomes, largely through a seconded role to develop the MASTS initiative www.peopleoceanplanet.com
