About Chris Summers, Ed.D.

I'm the Assistant Superintendent of Secondary Education for Montgomery ISD. Prior to that, I was Assistant Superintendent for Sealy ISD. I also served as Associate Partner with Education Elements working with districts from around the country to solve their biggest challenges. I was the Director of Curriculum and chief academic officer for West Oso ISD. I've been in education for 27 years including 9 years in central office and 12 years as a campus principal. I have worked in urban schools as well as suburban/rural schools. Most of my career has been spent working with low-income or Title I campuses and communities. I have developed two major frameworks: Multi-year Teacher Induction Framework and PLC Commitment to Excellence Framework. I also have a great interest in developing educators and empowering educational leaders to be effective instructional leaders for their campus.
