I have worked both as research scientist and project manager for diverse proprietary products, was technical liaison with clients, worked closely with and managed highly technical consultants and provided technical support by direct interaction with customers. During this time my abilities as a supervisor, leader and organizer of scientific research has been highlighted by the development of a number of new products, some reaching the market now. I have traveled extensively to attend scientific meetings, ASTM committees, be technical attaché at trade shows and meet directly with our customers; all the while keeping a finger on the pulse of the market by watching emerging technologies.

Along with my duties as an intern at Lithion, during the Postdoctoral phase of my work there I participated in the design and implementation of GC methodology for electrolyte development for use in Li-Air batteries

Used various techniques to identify and study the thermal decomposition of organic electrolytes containing LiPF6 salts while laying the groundwork for becoming an exceptional researcher and lecturer. The mechanism of thermal decomposition was elucidated through the use of multinuclear NMR spectroscopy and GC-Mass Spectrometry. The kinetics and rate laws of thermal decomposition were described in terms of organic electrolytes in the presence of LiPF6 and LiBF4 salts. Thermal decomposition inhibition compounds for use in prolonging useful life of organic electrolytes were surveyed. Extended techniques of thermal decomposition mechanism analysis to electrolytes containing different solvent formulations.

During high school and part of college I worked for the Stop and Shop companies. Because my step-mom was a skilled Florist and I had learned a great deal from her, they quickly moved me into that position. I enjoyed my time at Stop and Shop a great deal and miss the friends I made all those years ago. Working there taught me valuable lessons about money and customer service that I still use today.
