In my work in higher education and digital media, I work hard to be active, lifting up the people around me as well as the people that I work with. Why do I do what I do? From the first days on campus at Western Michigan University, I loved campus life. I loved the transformative possibilities that higher education offered myself and others and to be honest, I never wanted to lose that. As I continued in my career, I became transfixed with story and storytelling. I loved engaging with people in-person, but also finding ways to engage with people online. Though my experiences in and out of higher education, I have continued to share stories and to uplift those around me to help them to be the best versions of themselves that they can.I’m honored to have been able to impact so many throughout my career and for me it always comes back to how I can help them to see their potential and see what else is available to them if they are willing to think just a little outside the box.
