Chad E. Kennedy’s experience spans management, entrepreneurship, biomedical and clinical engineering, prototype and medical device design, biotechnology research, project management, and future technology integration and applications. Dr. Kennedy’s expertise stems from spending over 20+ years working in the field of biotech and medical device engineering from the bench to the bedside. Dr. Kennedy was the National Chair and oversaw the Biomedical Engineering Technology Bachelors program on 13 campuses across the US at DeVry University. Currently, Dr. Kennedy is faculty in both the Technology Entrepreneurship and Management program in Ira. A Fulton Schools of Engineering and the MS Innovation and Venture Development program a joint venture between Engineering, Herberger Institute of Design, and WPC School of Business.Professionally:Earlier in his career, Dr. Kennedy helped establish the Silicon Valley operations of VI Technology, Inc.,an Austin-based automation technology consulting firm. He was responsible for acquiring,developing, and managing consulting projects, integrating hardware and software applications forhigh-end test and automation systems for cross-discipline technologies. Before VI Tech, he workedin various engineering design, testing, and astronaut training capacities at NASA Johnson SpaceCenter in Houston, Texas.Entrepreneurially:Dr. Kennedy was a Co-founder, President, and CEO of the start-up company,Restorative Biosciences Inc., an early-stage company, that focuses on developing anti-fouling,anti-inflammatory coatings and therapeutics for ophthalmic applications such as Dry Eye disease. Later aided OraVu on their Science Advisory Board.Personally:Like his professional background, Dr. Kennedy’s research focuses on simplifying complex decision-making processes for companies, particularly start-ups, small businesses, and entrepreneurs.
