At Sci-eye I led the development of an AI shark detection and tracking system for beach managers and ecologists. ■ This work built on the Shark AI project at Macquarie University - a collaboration with the NSW Department of Primary Industries and Surf Life Saving NSW. ■ I now work with the Sci-eye team as an external technical adviser for the shark detector project.

Investigated magnetic fields in the interstellar medium using polarised radio observations. Developed algorithms and analysis workflows for the international ASKAP POSSUM project.■ Applied Bayesian inference techniques to model the magneto-ionic environment of the Gum Nebula. Deduced the likely origin of the nebula and probed the configuration of the ordered magnetic field in the nearby Galactic arm.■ Developed the RM-Tools analysis software for measuring Faraday Rotation in polarised astronomical radio data. This has now been adopted by the The Canadian Initiative for Radio Astronomy Data Analysis (CIRADA, http://cirada.org/).

Investigated dense gas accretions, disks and outflows from high-mass protostellar objects - the precursor to the most massive stars in the Galaxy.■ Created a unique map of dense gas in the Milky Way as part of the HOPS project (https://research.science.mq.edu.au/hops). Delivered excellent data products with accompanying analysis of uncertainties, sensitivity limits and false detection rates.

Led the end-to-end delivery of the CORNISH project: a survey of the Galactic plane for young high-mass stars using the Very Large Array.■ Created the most uniformly sensitive, homogeneous and complete list of ultra-compact ionised bubbles around high-mass stars (http://cornish.leeds.ac.uk).■ Designed and built the automated software pipeline to take raw observations from the interferometer, create calibrated images, detect astronomical sources, measure source properties and produce value-added data products. Managed data quality control for all three seasons of observations with the VLA.
