About Craig Scott

As a professional software engineer since 2001, I have built up deep expertise in C++ and CMake (of which I am a co-maintainer), with Qt also being heavily used in most of my roles. I am the author of the book "Professional CMake: A Practical Guide" and I write blog articles about C++ and CMake from time to time. I created the company Crascit Pty Ltd in 2019 to provide consulting services related to the above.I have developed and deployed libraries and applications across all major desktop platforms over most of my career and have also worked with iOS and RTOS embedded devices. Development has spanned client/server implementations, GUI frameworks and tools, complex algorithm development for signal processing and 3D models, data visualisation (2D and 3D) and more. Projects have typically been fundamentally multi-threaded in nature.I have also set up and maintained complete software infrastructure and build systems, managed software releases and been responsible for development teams. A consistent pattern in most of my roles has been to initiate development process improvements and to foster technical and career growth among my colleagues.
