Buying, operations, culture, and community building for Welcome Cannabis. Welcome Cannabis launched in 2020 with an aim to be a next generation cannabis brand. I helped define the brand’s unique core purpose: to bring to life a value system that resonates with the conscious cannabis consumer while making a positive impact.Today, there are over 1,000 dispensaries in Ontario and the government issuing 120 new licenses a month, and all cannabis retailers face an oversaturated market.Consumers were overwhelmed with choices, yet no distinctive perspective arose, and I saw an opportunity to transcend the conventional ideas within cannabis retailing.By aligning with a greater purpose of inclusivity, community and culture, Welcome Cannabis' brand purpose is translated through creative direction, branding, and most notably, the concept and design of its Dundas West location.

Dr. Cristina Allen is a graduate of the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, Canada's leading institution for naturopathic medicine. Dr. Allen's goal is to provide her patients with a sustainable form of medicine. She uses her knowledge to determine the root cause of the complaint and treat to encourage long-term optimal health. Her four-pronged approach to healthcare is therefore simple: 1. Consider the individual as a whole 2. Empower through education 3. Apply the least invasive treatments possible 4. Promote prevention as key Dr. Allen sees both pediatric and adult patients and treats a wide range of conditions, ranging from digestive complaints and hormonal imbalances to anti-aging and prevention, using individualized programs. Treatment modalities include diet and lifestyle modifications, herbal and nutritional medicines, and acupuncture. She has furthered her education to complete a specialty in paediatrics and fertility, is accredited to treat with bio-identical hormones and natural desiccated thyroid, and trained to become one of the few doctors in Eastern Ontario licensed in Intravenous Therapy and Mesotherapy. Dr. Allen provides workshops and seminars on anti-aging, clean eating, and the impacts of stress on health. Dr. Allen is an explorer, chef, and an artist in her free time. She enjoys traveling, getting off-grid, and participating in activities such as camping, cooking over an open fire, cycling, swimming, snowboarding, surfing, and fishing. She has had several art shows in Toronto, played in various bands, and worked as a photographer. Dr. Cristina Allen, ND was granted acceptance early into the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, Ontario after competing three years of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology at the University of Calgary. She graduated from the Naturopathic Doctor program with adidtional training in a subspecialty in pediatrics, parenteral therapy, and mesotherapy. She is dedicated to a lifetime of continuing education, focusing on her particular interests in pregnancy and pediatrics, as well as the impact of diet and nutrition on health. Dr. Cristina sees both paediatric and adult patients regularly and has experience treating a wide range of conditions including those seeking cosmetic treatments, anti-aging, autism, ADHD, polycystic ovarian syndrome, diabetes, high blood pressure, stress management, and multiple sclerosis. During her time at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, Dr. Cristina had the opportunity to work at Anishnawbe Health Toronto, a multidisciplinary health care center providing care for the Aboriginal community. This opportunity allowed her to learn first hand, the importance of basic and health care.Her approach to health care is therefore simple: to treat conditions as least invasive as possible, while looking at the individual as a whole.
