Dr Susanne Cruickshank is an experienced cancer nurse, researcher and educator. She is currently the Strategic Lead for Applied Health Research at the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust and Honorary Professor in Cancer at the University of Stirling, Scotland. She leads the Health Services Research Group at the Royal Marsden. She is responsible for building and supporting research capacity and capability among Nurses, Allied Health Professionals and Pharmacists within the Trust alongside a portfolio of applied cancer research projects. She is passionate about education and the opportunities it affords to promote the synergy between research, practice and policy. Her area of expertise includes systematic reviews, development of complex interventions and translation of research into practice across cancer care. Her goal is to ensure nurses and AHPs are part of, and leading interdisciplinary, clinically applied research that seeks to improve the lives of people affected with cancer and their families, and inform health policy.
