As a culturally-affirming Indian Education Advocate/Researcher, Instructional Technologist, and Online Learning ScholarDr. Moore has coordinated/taught technology in rural and urban, public and private, K12 and higher education organizations for the past 20 years. As a member of the Choctaw Tribe of Oklahoma, Moore’s current research highlights the possible futures of utilizing information and communication technologies (ICTs) for Native American/Indigenous Peoples’ capacity building, women’s leadership, and work-life balance, especially in rural and remote locations. She has traveled extensively around our nation and the globe to meet with other Indigenous, governmental, and educational technology leaders. She regularly presents at scholarly conferences/meetings, has received over 20 leading awards from notable Native American and technology organizations, and has had five articles published about her work. Her current research/publication agenda includes the fields of: Global Indigenous ICT’s, women’s leadership, work-life balance, mentoring, and teacher education.Dr. Moore is often described as an empowered servant leader and has a long-term commitment and passion to fostering diverse communities in need. Since her entire maternal family (all Choctaw Nation members) is rooted in SE OK – with many SE graduates, she is particularly loyal to our SE Community. She is often sought out as a guest lecturer/teacher, leader, and project designer and is highly trained in four key areas: Research, teaching, leadership, and community building. Some of her recent honors include: 2013 National Center for American Indian Enterprise Development Top 40 Under 40 Leader, 2011/2012 Phi Delta Kappa Emerging Leader, 2011/2012 American Indian Graduate Center Scholar, and 2011/2012 American Indian College Fund Scholar.
