After finishing my last full time assignment as Senior Consultant with National Mission on Education through ICT (NMEICT under Min of HRD, Dept of Higher Education), Govt. of India in September 2015, and earlier having had four decades of multidisciplinary experience in scientific, academic, consulting and government organizations (including an assignment as an International Consultant with UNFPA), I've been contributing as an Advisor, Assessor, Evaluator, Inquiry Officer (under CCS CCA Rules) and Visiting Faculty for various Institutions and Organizations. Some of these have been AICTE, NABET/QCI, Delhi Technological University (DTU), AIMA, NMIMS, Stratford University (New Delhi campus), Min. of Cooperation (GoI) and GLG Consulting (USA).During my last Govt. position as Director & Head of EDP/IT Division in Indian census organization I had been responsible for setting-up the in-house IT infrastructure for 1991 Census and had also acted as National Project Director for a UNFPA project on modernization of Indian census office, apart from working on USAID and UK-ODA funded projects.This experience provided me with insights into IT projects implementation with international collaboration. During last months of my tenure, I contributed for the IT infrastructure planning for roll-out of Multi-purpose National Identity Card project (MNIC) and was the Nodal Officer for setting-up of Card Production Centre at Delhi for Pilot MNIC project. This project was later transformed and scaled up to UIDAI's Aadhar project by Govt. of India.As part of my training and teaching interests, I am an AIMA “Accredited Management Teacher” and have also served on its AMT Accreditation Board. I have contributed as an expert committee member for various government departments and educational institutes, as UPSC recruitment adviser for IT staff in Indian Govt. and a reviewer for the journal “Computing Reviews” published by ACM, New York. My name was included in Govt. of India's panel for appointment as an independent Director on CPSE Boards.
