I am responsible for leading and managing the industrial placement scheme within the Wolfson School of Mechanical, Electrical & Manufacturing Engineering at Loughborough University. We typically have 200+ undergraduate students working in industry on 12 month placements gaining technical, personal and business skills and experience which complements their studies. My role includes liaising with companies, staff and students, coordinating support staff, organising events such as our annual Placements Fair, and maintaining IMechE accreditation of our Monitored Professional Development Scheme for which I am both an administrator and registered scheme Mentor. I am also the School's Academic Liaison Officer for IMechE.
