EducatorThe challenges we face in Education are systemic and cannot be solved with a flick of a switch or the change of a single process. That doesn't mean that the switch shouldn't be flicked or the process shouldn't be changed. My role as an Educator focuses on Equity (not equality) and what practices exist that divert attention elsewhere. I am a JEDI (Justice, Equity, Diversity, INJUSTICE) warrior.TechnologistIt started with taking my toys apart as a child. A field trip to IBM in second grade sealed the deal. Professionally, I've been in Information Technology for 32 years. Twenty years in the private sector, 12 in public. I specialize in the creation and implementation of technical processes; the training and motivation of technology-based teams and the messaging of said processes and teams to non-technical audiences. Technology doesn't scare me, it encourages me to embrace it and ensure it is used appropriately. MentorAnything that you don't share adds to the weight that you carry. I have a varied and diverse background with a plethora of experiences that I pull from daily in support of those around me. Studies upon studies show and prove the effectiveness of mentoring relationships at all levels of education, career and life applications. When it comes to mentoring, I want to share it all.
