As a mitigation specialist at Justice Mitigation, I provide consultation services for capital cases, with over 17 years of experience in indigent defense. I have a Ph.D in forensic psychology, which enables me to assess and present mitigating factors such as adverse childhood experiences, epigenetic trauma, and intellectual disability. I also have a master's degree in forensic science advanced investigation, which gives me the skills to evaluate and challenge forensic evidence and testimony.In addition to my work as a mitigation specialist, I am also a professor at the University of Providence, where I teach psychology courses and share my knowledge and passion for forensic psychology. I am an expert in juror bias, juror decision-making, and wrongful conviction, and I have contributed to multiple publications and presentations on these topics. I am also a volunteer investigator for The Innocence Project, where I support the efforts to exonerate the wrongly convicted and reform the criminal justice system.
