The performance of the coating was so high that it was given a testing category that was well beyond the standards scale.• Developed the entire “Blockseal” range of products to stabilise and beautify block paving.• Developed a unique flexible traffic surface for the absorption of stress in steel rail/concrete interfaces.• Mathematically modelled the thermoplastic paint formulations to give the best price :performance regardless of which raw material used to create the formulation. This model works in a simple Microsoft excel spread sheet and allows for quick raw material substitution. The model also records the production data and checks for minor raw material variation highlighting problems which would not be picked up during standard QC testing.
