At Ease Tx vision is to create a thriving space where women of military experience and women in the local community find common ground and move beyond “thank you for your service” to “let’s serve together”.At Ease Tx exist to ease the transition from military service to the veteran community for Texas women veterans and spouses.

Key Facts About Women Veterans and Military Service Members:1. There are approximately 1,882,848 living women veterans.2. Approximately 10% of the veteran population is female.3. There are 214,098 (14.6 %) women in the Active Duty Military.4. There are 118,781 (19.5 %) women in the National Guard.5. There are 470,851 (15.5 %) women in the Reserves.Before the development of WoVeN, our staff worked with women Veterans for years across a variety of settings. During this time, they saw the power of connection that happens when women Veterans came together and shared their stories. But they also noticed that women Veterans sometimes struggled to find each other. The idea for WoVeN was born – a community of women Veterans, where women can benefit from sisterhood and support one another!Established in 2017, WoVeN is a vibrant community for women Veterans of all eras and service branches. In addition to providing community, WoVeN strives to empower women Veterans with information, education, and resources to improve their quality of life.Connection and community are at the core of the WoVeN program. You can get involved in WoVeN by joining a WoVeN group, becoming a WoVeN Peer Leader, or interacting with other women Veterans through our National Social Network.

Facilitate statewide network for veteran spouses as they build a community of support.The Veteran Spouse Network (VSN) is a project at the the University of Texas at Austin Steve Hicks School of Social Work's Institute for Military and Veteran Family Wellness. Spouses' views on, and needs for, mental health and other services have received sparse attention, and the gaps in services are vast. In particular, client-centered, family-led research and programming for this population is almost nonexistent.

As we gather and serve in remembrance of the lives lost and forever changed by the tragic events of 9/11/2001, we focus our efforts on building thriving communities for all.
