Branch Manager
I oversaw all facets of the business within the Tampa Branch including Management, Sales (Inside & Outside), Customer Service, Operations, Logistics, Warehouse, Commercial, New Construction, A/R, Accounting, Finances, Payroll, and Human Resources. I manage the day to day operations of the business to ensure all daily processes are handled accurately and timely. I’m responsible for developing and maintaining customer and key vendor relationships as well as resolve all customer complaints and/or issues in a timely manner. I make sure that the outside and inside sales teams work together with warehouse operations to provide superior customer service in a profitable manner. I work with my warehouse team to ensure all operational and logistical processes are being met to company standards. In addition, I manage the branch in accordance to Wool Plumbing Supply business practices in order to achieve budgeted goals set by myself and the company.
Operations Assistant Store Manager
As an Operations Assistant Store Manager (OAMs), I was responsible for driving sales, customer service, associate development, store profitability, in-stock and store appearance. I oversaw all operational areas of the store (e.g., Back End, Front End, Inventory Management and Back Office). I was responsible for executing core programs and strategies to improve customer service, in-stock, and store appearance. As an OAM, I played a crucial role in driving safety standards and environmental compliance throughout the store by executing the company's Handling Hazardous Materials, Recycling, and Environmental Programs. In addition, I drove profitability through expense management, shrink mitigation, and overall operational efficiency in all areas of the store. In order to be successful, I must execute processes, solve problems through partnership, and develop leaders within operational departments. I reported to the Store Manager and worked closely with the District Operations Manager to accomplish goals. I had a positive impact on the Operational Scorecard by focusing on key areas and developing strategies for improvement. I was also elected as the "Co-Captain" of Team Depot for the district. Team Depot is The Home Depot's associate-led volunteer force that serves veterans, aids in disaster relief and gives back to their local communities.
Merchandising Assistant Store Manager
I directly oversaw 7 Merchandising Departments as well as Pro Sales. In addition, as a Salaried Manager, oversaw the entire store of over 100 Associates. I was responsible for providing Customers with a convenient and enjoyable shopping experience. MASMs work to create an inviting shopping environment for Customers by meeting their project needs quickly and fully. I worked with the Store Manager to develop strategies and objectives to drive sales and profitability. I provided leadership to Associates so that these strategies and objectives were executed successfully. MASMs must analyze trends, solve problems and develop themselves and their Associates in order to maximize contribution to store success. As a Merchandising ASM, I worked directly with Associates, the Store Manager and other ASMs to accomplish goals. In addition, I took on the captain ship roles of Inventory, Building Better Health, and Employee Committee for the store.
Department Supervisor - Key Carrier
As a Key Carrying Department Supervisor, I not only had the responsibility of managing my Department but also the store during my Manager on Duty shifts. My job functions included supporting three primary store priorities: Customers First, In Stock, and Store Appearance. I supported Customers First by providing fast, thorough, and friendly service to customers. Interact with customers by welcoming them to the store, assessing their project needs, answering questions, and making purchasing recommendations. Performed In-Stock initiatives by assessing stock levels of product within the department, restocking, and ordering new items as necessary. Maintained Store Appearance priority by ensuring the department aisles promoted a shopping environment that is appealing and safe. Additionally, I had to oversee associates, ensure they are properly trained, provide them feedback, and perform performance reviews. Additionally, I had the responsibility of providing a safe working and shopping environment by following all safety policies & standards, completing specified safety training, immediately correcting hazards & unsafe conditions. During my time as the Lumber and Building Materials supervisor, I ensured the BIG 3 was in full affect as well as helped to control inventory levels by adjusting counts, overhead organization and ensure the proper assortment was available for our Customers. I also took on the role as AD Set captain for the store as well as co-captain for Team Depot Events.
Sales Associate
Started career with Home Depot in September of 2003 as a Lot Associate while attending local community college. Basic duties were assisting customers to their vehicles and helping load products. Ensuring the parking lot was clean and clear of trash, debris, and all carts put away accordingly. During this time, I also became cashier certified and worked as a cashier when needed. I then became a Sales Associate for various departments. As a sales associate, I made customer service my number one priority. This included product knowledge, providing information on product features, and knowing related items to sell an entire project. I would greet, qualify, recommend and close every customer in my department. Other responsibilities included packing down and packing out freight, putting away returns/distressed items, running various forms of equipment, ensuring the departments were clean, clear, and free of safety hazards.
