About Eleni Douvi

I own a PhD in Engineering of Mechanical Engineering and Aeronautics Department at University of Patras. I have experience in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) working as an individual as well as a part of a multi- disciplinary team during my time as a post-doctoral researcher. My research activity is CFD analysis of innovative solar collector with integration of Phase Change Materials, and the proposal of the optimum geometry of a horizontal axis tidal turbine rotor. My doctoral thesis was experimental and computational investigation of aerodynamic behavior of wind turbine blades in heavy rain. My research activities include Computational and Experimental Fluid Dynamics, Renewable Energy Sources, Wind and Solar Energy Systems, Tidal Turbines, Aerodynamics, Hydrodynamics, Multiphase Flows, Heat Transfer, Phase Change Materials, Computer Code Development, Energy Saving, Energy Design and Air Conditioning of Buildings and Pumps.I have been awarded an Heracleitus II PhD Fellowship for her doctoral thesis and a scholarship from Greek State Scholarships Foundation (IKY) for postdoctoral research in Greece. I participated in research projects funding by General Secretariat for Research and Technology and BIG SOLAR SA. Moreover, I am a member of Technical Chamber of Greece and reviewer of 11 Scientific Journals.I am comfortable in dealing with numerical data to understand problems and solve them.
