Associate Professor Emma Wong is Academic Director (Sydney) at University of Tasmania. She has over two decades of public and private higher education experience from Hong Kong, mainland China, Australia, Germany and the UK with a proven track record in staff engagement and intrapreneurship. She also has extensive academic governance experience serving on academic boards and various high level committees in Australian universities and higher education institutions.In research, she specialises in tourism policy and sustainable destination development. Her work has been published in top journals including Annals of Tourism Research and Tourism Management. More recently, she has also developed interests in student resilience building and higher education management research.Emma is also a non-executive director of the Mountains Youth Services Team (MYST), a Blue Mountains-based charity that champions the mental wellbeing of young people.
