At Shepherds House Bible Church, we are all about disciples who make disciples. Under the leadership of our pastoral team, I was graciously trusted with access to resources and the time of the leadership team. Every day was discipleship where we were encouraged to ask any and all questions, observe ministry at a microscopic level, and trusted with responsibilities in ministries of our own. My service was spent primarily with the documentation of setup and tear down, leading a discipleship group, crafting sermon outlines, and preaching in student ministries once a month. We were expected to be the first ones at church and at events, and the last to leave, trusted with the transportation of equipment, providing food for ministry meetings, and to be servant leaders in the congregation. In addition, I was trusted with a midweek discipleship group of young adult men where we spend time in prayer, exegeting Scripture, and studying the deep doctrine found in His Word. This internship was such a sanctifying experience, but nothing short of true joy.

Lead a team of experienced adults to execute a complete restaurant experience from start to finish. With the finest Italian cuisine in the area, and even better customer service, my team proved to be completely enthralled with perfection. Discipline and a self motivating work ethic allowed me to thrive in this role and expand my skill set in regards to problem solving, high-stress environments, and leadership.

Spent time in the office learning the ins and outs of pastoral ministry. Alongside the staff, I was trusted to lead, given the opportunity to take advantage of things, and expand my arsenal. Weekly preaching, in depth studies on various theological perspectives, and intense service were the defining factors of my internship.
